Brought to campus by the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom through partnership with the Arizona Board of Regents, in the Student Union Bookstore, lower level. Experience a portion of the renowned Museum of Democracy in New York City. The new exhibit explores the history of American democracy through the creative campaign tools that shaped it and how presidential candidates have communicated their messages and mobilized support from the era of George Washington to the present day. Legislative Fellow Applications are OPEN
Arizona’s Legislative Fellowship Program offers graduate students a unique opportunity to shape public policy at the state level. Created by the University of Arizona’s Center for the Philosophy of Freedom, the program places fellows directly in the Arizona Legislature, where they work alongside lawmakers to provide research, policy analysis, and strategic support. Fellows gain hands-on experience in legislative processes, strengthen their professional networks, and make meaningful contributions to the development of Arizona’s laws all while expanding the Legislature’s access to academic expertise. Apply by November 14th, 2025.

Competitions Now Open! Calling All Middle & High School Students!
This fall, the University of Arizona Freedom Center is hosting two exciting competitions. Students (grade 6-8) will participate in the Create Your Campaign Contest and students (grades 9-12) will work on Vote YOU for Presidential Speech Contest. Submissions due by Nov 14, 2025. Winners will be celebrated at the Vote for You Awards Night & Live Election on Nov 21, 5:30–7 PM at the U of A Campus Store, with special guest speaker David Litt, Obama’s speech writer. Participants could win cash, jerseys, and one lucky teacher will win a $500 raffle for their classroom!

PPEL Undergraduate Summer School

Approved by the Arizona State Board of Education as a resource for teachers, these mini-documentaries provide compelling first-person accounts of other governing philosophies compared to the United States.
