This event is a collaboration between the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom and the Common Sense Institute (CSI). It is open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty, staff and the community.
What it’s All About
You’ve probably heard terms like “free enterprise,” “free markets,” and “capitalism” thrown around both in the news and in your life on campus. But what do these things really mean? How do they make life better for the average American and Arizonan? And what impact does public policy have in ensuring you and your community are able to prosper in a free enterprise system?
The Common Sense Institute (CSI) Arizona is a non-partisan research organization that employs economists to study these issues. CSI Arizona, in partnership with the University of Arizona Center for the Philosophy of Freedom, invites you to learn to talk about why a free enterprise system matters, in both a global and personal context.
Enjoy lunch on us, hear from CSI Arizona’s Executive Director Katie Ratlief and ask questions like, “What is Free Enterprise, and why should Wildcats care?”
