Join us to hear discussions with today's leading scholars!
What are Freedom Center Talks?
Freedom Center Talks (FC Talks) are a conversation series designed to bring serious ideas into an open, welcoming campus setting. Each talk invites scholars to present their work and engage directly with students and faculty through thoughtful discussion.
Open, rigorous conversation
FC Talks emphasize dialogue over presentation. Speakers share ideas that are often still in development, encouraging critical questions and genuine engagement rather than polished lectures.
The goal is not consensus, but clarity—creating space for disagreement, curiosity, and careful reasoning.
Interdisciplinary perspectives
Speakers come from a wide range of disciplines, including philosophy, economics, law, politics, and the social sciences.
This diversity ensures that each talk brings a distinct lens and set of questions to the table.
Built for campus community
Freedom Center Talks are open to University of Arizona students and faculty and designed to be accessible without sacrificing depth.
Attendees are encouraged to stay, ask questions, and continue the conversation beyond the talk.
