The Entrepreneurship Summer Academy gives high school students hands-on experience in starting and running a business while exploring the role of entrepreneurship, ethics, and economic freedom. Over the course of a week, students will develop business ideas, work in teams, and pitch their concepts in a competition for cash prizes. They’ll learn from local entrepreneurs, visit businesses, and see how policy shapes economic opportunities with a trip to the Arizona State Capitol.
Hosted by the University of Arizona’s McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship and the Freedom Center, the program challenges students to solve real-world problems, think critically about business decisions, and understand the impact of economic freedom. Through teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on learning, students gain skills they can apply in business, college, and beyond.
