This event explores the strategies needed to bridge political divides and achieve bipartisan reform. Join Representative Alma Hernandez and Senator Gowan in Phoenix for a conversation on their efforts to co-sponsor a bill that eliminated burdensome administrative fees for children in the juvenile court system.
This event marks the third in a compelling series of discussion curated by the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom to accompany the Museum of Democracy’s exhibit “You Say You Want A Revolution: Politics and Art in the 1960s”. The exhibit explores protest, progress, and the American Republic from the Civil Rights era to today, with a special focus on the 60’s and 70’s. The Museum of Democracy’s exhibit and the accompanying FC speaker series are part of the Arizona board of regents’ Presidential Project, a civic education program designed to foster knowledge of the American presidencies and presidential elections among undergraduate students, high school students and the broader community.
