Tristen Roussell

PhD Student

I am a Cognition and Neural Systems PhD student in the Consciousness-Action-Time (CAT) Lab, directed by Dr. Eve Isham. I obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University in 2024, where I gained experience utilizing EEG and behavioral measures to investigate the structuring of visual information within different stages of memory.

Research Interests:

  • Influences of sensory perception and cognitive control on internal timekeeping, including:
    • Visuospatial information & body-based motor cues
    • Cognitive load & attention
  • Relationship between action agency and temporal duration perception
  • Exploring variations in temporal perception within more ecologically-valid frameworks during spatial navigation tasks using 2D/3D virtual reality and omnidirectional treadmill technology
