The 5th Annual Workshop for Oxford Studies in Political Philosophy was held at the Westward Look Resort in Tucson, Oct. 12 – 14, 2017. The workshop included papers by prominent and rising scholars on questions at the intersection of philosophy, politics, economics, and law. The authors addressed topics such as injustice and state legitimacy, methodological issues in economics, the justification of legal coercion, and the legal protection of vulnerable languages. Fabian Wendt (pictured left), Research Associate at Chapman University, was selected as winner of the Marc Sanders Prize in Political Philosophy for his paper “Rescuing Public Justification from Public Reason Liberalism.”

Oxford University Press will be publishing a selection of the papers in Oxford Studies in Political Philosophy, edited by David Sobel, Peter Vallentyne and Steven Wall. Volumes 1 – 3 now available.
