Robin is a former high school teacher who taught Business, Economic, and Personal Finance courses for 26 years in Arizona. She is passionate about providing quality professional development for teachers and helping students develop skills that they will use far beyond high school, especially those tied to making wise financial decisions. Her favorite classes to teach were Entrepreneurship and Financial Math, classes that often had an immediate impact on the students and their families.
Robin has also served as a DECA Advisor for 25 years. Her students qualified for national competitions for 17 years straight, and many of those students pursued degrees in Business, Marketing, or Finance while others have become entrepreneurs, managers, and small business owners.
Robin’s leadership experience has included serving as a Career and Technical Education Department Chair, a member of the District Budget Advisory Council, a Teacher Advisor for the Arizona Council on Economic Education, and a Master Educator for Take Charge Today. Among many recognitions and awards, Robin was nominated as an Arizona Teacher of the Year and received the Outstanding Service Award from Arizona DECA.
Robin has a bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University. Robin and her husband reside in Chandler where they spend time with their four children and seven grandchildren. Robin’s bucket list includes riding a zip line in Costa Rica and exploring Australia.
