The Freedom Center and Spring 2023 FC Talks series presents Justin Bruner (University of Arizona).

Bio:

Bruner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Economy and Moral Science at the University of Arizona. He specializes in social and political philosophy as well as the philosophy of science.

Bruner was previously an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Groningen and, before that, a Lecturer in the School of Politics and International Relations at the Australian National University.

Abstract:

How do groups collectively decide? We consider a number of canonical positions in the welfarist tradition and argue that these positions find the same decision-making procedure to be particularly attractive.
